Last May on Serf City, I interviewed ECMA-winner Joel Plaskett when he was in town for a couple of shows. He's coming back again April 23 to perform at the Imperial Theatre, so we thought we'd post that interview here. We talked about the shows he's done over the years in Saint John, and his affection for the city (especially the brick buildings and Tops diner on Union Street!) We also spoke about the early stages of his new album, which comes out this spring. He talked about how he would be testing some of the songs in his shows here.
